Comparison

Brandyland vs Yext for franchise location pages

Yext is a public company whose platform syncs location data to more than 200 publishers and builds location pages from it. Brandyland is a smaller platform focused on the location website. They overlap on pages and differ on most of the rest.

The short answer

Yext is built for listings reach. Brandyland is built for the location website.

Yext's strength is breadth: listings on 200-plus publishers, review responses across 80+ platforms and pages built from one Knowledge Graph. Brandyland does not publish to dozens of directories or answer reviews. It gives every location a website that franchisees edit from a phone, answers inquiries within a minute, and publishes a price per location. If data across many directories is the problem, Yext is built for it. If stale location sites are, Brandyland is.

What Yext is

Yext calls itself an Enterprise Agentic Marketing Platform, with products including Listings, Knowledge Graph, Reviews, Social, Pages and Scout. It is listed on the New York Stock Exchange, sells directly and through resellers, and says it is trusted by brands managing more than 4 million locations.

Its November 2025 franchise post says more than 90 franchise brands use it. Brands named in Yext's own case studies include Great Clips, Fazoli's, Bojangles, Taco Bell and Massage Envy. It acquired Hearsay Systems in 2024 and Places Scout in 2025.

Where Yext is strong

One record for each location feeds everything else, which suits a brand whose main risk is wrong data in many places:

  • Listings on 200-plus publishers worldwide, including regional ones outside the US
  • Pages generated from the same data, with schema markup and page-level analytics
  • A mobile app where franchisees manage listings and suggest review replies for corporate approval
  • Approval workflows and a connector for activating new store openings

Pages from data, or a site per location

Yext Pages are no-code, template-driven location pages built from the Knowledge Graph, with embedded reviews, calls to action and scheduling widgets. That fits a brand that wants every page generated from central data.

Brandyland gives each location a whole website in the brand's theme and puts the franchisee in charge of what changes weekly: today's hours, holidays after a nudge, the schedule, events, photos, their own pages and a notice bar that takes itself down after its end date. Corporate locks the theme and shared sections. Inquiry forms reply on brand within sixty seconds, and locations not yet open get an opening-soon page.

Pricing and contract terms

Yext's FAQ says pricing is custom, based on location count, the solution bundle and contract length, with no public tiers, no free tier and no standard free trial. Billing is annual, multi-year proposals are the default, and a one-year term costs a little more.

Its Master Subscription Agreement, last updated May 12, 2026, says "Purchased subscriptions may not be cancelled and all fees paid are non-refundable." Term length and renewal sit in each customer's Subscription Schedule, which is not public.

Brandyland is $99 per location per month for Local or $199 for Insights. Build and migration are free for franchise networks, the $299 launch fee per location is waived for pilots, and after a 12-month first term it is month to month.

What stays yours

Yext's agreement says you keep ownership of your content, and Yext owns its products and the reports it creates. Its Product Terms say that when a subscription expires you lose access to content Yext hosts for you, though your content may remain available online. Ask how that applies to your location pages. With Brandyland, every site's content and images export with one click, any time, with no exit fee.

Questions

Questions people ask

Is Brandyland a Yext alternative?

For location websites, yes. For listings across many directories, no. Brandyland does not publish to dozens of directories; its Local plan includes Google Business Profile sync.

How much does Yext cost?

Yext does not publish prices. Its FAQ says pricing is custom, based on location count, the solution bundle and contract length, with no free tier.

Can we cancel Yext before the term ends?

Yext's Master Subscription Agreement says purchased subscriptions cannot be cancelled and fees paid are non-refundable. Check your Subscription Schedule for your term and renewal dates.

What happens to our listings if we leave Yext?
