Comparison

Brandyland vs Birdeye for franchise locations

Birdeye is an AI platform for multi-location brands, with deep tools for reviews, messaging and front-desk work. Brandyland runs the website for each franchise location. The overlap is small, so the choice is mostly about which problem comes first.

The short answer

Birdeye works your reviews, messages and front desk. Brandyland runs your location websites.

Birdeye's AI coworkers, launched in September 2026, run 27 agents across marketing, operations and customer experience: review requests and replies, listings, social, texting, appointments and more. Brandyland does none of that. It gives every location a website that franchisees edit from a phone, answers web inquiries within a minute, and publishes its price. The two can sit side by side.

What Birdeye is

Birdeye presents itself as AI coworkers for multi-location brands. In September 2026 it launched three, Jay for marketing, Myna for operations and Robin for customer experience, running 27 agents between them. Its press page says it serves 200,000 businesses, and its own pricing article says buyers typically run 100 to 10,000 locations.

Brands named in Birdeye's own case studies include Stellar Service Brands, Black Bear Diner, Window Nation and D4C Dental Brands.

Where Birdeye is strong

It covers much of what happens between a customer and a location away from the website:

Birdeye also publishes its terms, cancellation policy and renewal fee openly, which makes the contract easy to read before you sign.

  • Review requests and AI replies, running on their own or with approval
  • Listings kept in sync on Google, Apple Maps, Yelp and Facebook
  • Texting, voice, email, appointments, reminders, waitlists, payments and surveys
  • Tiered approvals, role-based access, SSO and audit logs for franchise setups
  • A mobile app in every plan, and 3,000+ integrations by its count

Pages, and a website for each location

Birdeye Pages are location landing pages it builds and maintains, with AI-written copy and a mobile-first build, and it says they can launch in as little as 30 days. Add-ons include a store locator map, events, offers and a blog.

Brandyland gives every location its own website in the brand's theme, edited by the franchisee from a phone: today's hours, holidays after a nudge, the weekly schedule, events, photos, their own pages and a notice bar that takes itself down after its end date. Corporate locks the theme and shared sections. It does not answer reviews, run messaging or post to social.

Contract terms to read first

Birdeye does not publish prices; its pricing article says pricing is custom, usually per location, on annual agreements. Its Terms and Conditions, effective May 13, 2026, say agreements renew automatically for the same length unless the order form says otherwise, and written notice must arrive at least 90 days before renewal to stop it.

For agreements signed from April 1, 2024, an 8% Innovation Fee is added to recurring fees at each auto-renewal, unless the agreement says otherwise. Its cancellation policy says an account can close early only if the contract has an early opt-out clause.

Brandyland is $99 per location per month for Local, which includes Google Business Profile sync and review requests, or $199 for Insights. Build and migration are free for franchise networks, and after a 12-month first term it is month to month.

Data and leaving

Birdeye's terms say "Client owns all Client Data." Birdeye owns what it calls BirdEye Data, including review data on a Birdeye microsite and output from its AI tools, excluding any Client Data within it, and the client gets a limited license to use it internally. Reviews download as a spreadsheet of up to 40,000 or a PDF of the top 100. With Brandyland, every site's content and images export with one click, any time, with no exit fee.

Choose Birdeye if

  • Reviews, texting and reminders are the work you most want automated
  • You want AI agents acting at each location without franchisees logging in
  • You want payments, surveys and front-desk tools in one platform
  • You want landing pages built and maintained for you, quickly

Choose Brandyland if

  • The location website is what goes stale: hours, schedules, notices
  • Franchisees should edit their own site from a phone
  • You want a published price and month to month after the first year
  • You want a one-click export of every site at any time
