Alternatives
Scorpion alternatives for franchise marketing
Scorpion bundles ads, SEO, reviews, AI assistants and websites with a dedicated team. The right alternative depends on which part of that bundle you want to replace.
Facts checked September 26, 2026
The short answer
Split the bundle: who runs your ads, and who runs your sites.
Scorpion's appeal is one company doing everything. Most alternatives do one part. An independent agency can run ads and SEO. DevHub and Brandyland run franchise websites without running your marketing. Birdeye handles reviews, messaging and listings with AI agents. Duda gives an agency the tools to build sites. Replacing Scorpion may mean choosing two of these, not one.
List what Scorpion does for you today
Scorpion's franchise bundle covers a lot. Before looking at replacements, mark which of these you actually use, and which you would rather run another way:
Few alternatives replace all of it. One workable split is an agency or in-house team for media, and a platform for the websites.
- Ads on Google, Meta and Bing, including social and video
- SEO and review management
- An AI assistant at each location for questions and scheduling
- Call tracking, attribution and roll-up reporting
- The website and location landing pages
- Franchise development marketing
Plan the handover around the contract
Scorpion's FAQ says it typically requires a 12-month contract for marketing technology and some services such as SEO, while digital advertising is typically month to month. It says you own your website once the contract is complete, and that it then hands back accounts such as GA4, Google Local Services Ads and social media, along with the site's static files, design assets and content. The site itself is rebuilt with another vendor on the CMS you choose.
So the order matters. Line up the new website before the old contract ends, so hours, pages and forms are live on the day of the handover. For franchise networks, Brandyland builds the network and migrates existing sites for free.
Questions for any replacement
Whichever route you take, ask these before you sign:
- Are ad accounts, analytics and listings in our name from day one?
- Is the price published or quoted, and is it per location or per brand?
- How long is the first term, and what notice ends it?
- Who changes a location's hours, and how fast does it go live?
- What can we export when we leave, and in what format?
The options
01
An independent agency
Best for: Running ads and SEO with a team you choose, separate from your websites
An agency can run ads, SEO and content for your brand, with people you pick and can replace. Most price by project, by the hour or by monthly retainer. Ask for ad accounts, analytics and Google Business Profiles to be held in your name from the start, so any future switch is simple.
02
DevHub ↗
Best for: Franchise brands that want a custom-scoped website build and their own marketing vendors
DevHub is a website platform and CMS built for franchise and multi-location brands. Its FAQ says it is neither an all-in-one marketing platform nor an agency: it builds and runs the website and connects to the vendors you choose for SEO, paid media, CRM and reviews. Pricing is a one-time implementation cost plus a recurring annual cost, scoped per brand. It fits brands that want a dedicated website partner next to their own agency.
03
Brandyland
Best for: Franchise networks that want location sites run in house, at a published price
Brandyland runs a website for every location and the brand site, with franchisees editing hours, schedules, notices and pages from a phone, and every inquiry answered on brand within sixty seconds. It does not run ads or SEO, and it is not an agency. Local is $99 per location per month, and Insights, with call tracking and attribution, is $199. Build and migration are free for franchise networks, and after 12 months it is month to month.
04
Birdeye ↗
Best for: Automating reviews, messaging and appointments at each location
Birdeye overlaps with Scorpion's review and AI assistant work. It covers review requests and AI replies, listings, social, texting, appointments and payments, plus location landing pages it builds and maintains. It does not publish prices, and its terms renew agreements automatically unless written notice arrives at least 90 days before renewal. Brands named in its own case studies include Stellar Service Brands and Window Nation.
05
Duda ↗
Best for: An agency that wants its own tools for building and hosting your sites
Duda is a website builder for agencies, with multi-location widgets, reusable sections, client permissions and an API. If your new agency builds on Duda, its published plan prices apply, such as the Agency plan at $52 a month billed annually with four sites as of September 26, 2026, plus the agency's own fees.
