The short answer
Scorpion runs your marketing. Brandyland runs your location websites.
If you want one company handling franchise digital marketing, from Google and Meta ads to SEO, reviews and an AI assistant at each location, Scorpion is built for that and Brandyland is not. Brandyland does one part of the job: a website for every location, edited by franchisees from a phone, with every inquiry answered within a minute. The real question is whether you want the website bundled with your marketing, or kept apart from whoever runs it.
| Scorpion | Brandyland | |
|---|---|---|
| What it is | A digital marketing and technology company with a dedicated team | A website platform for franchise networks, not an agency |
| Ads | Google, Meta and Bing, plus social and video | Does not run ads |
| SEO and reviews | Ranking AI for SEO; Reputation AI to get and answer reviews | No SEO service. Review requests are in Local's price |
| Websites | Its own CMS, with automated location landing pages | A site per location on one engine, plus a brand site |
| AI assistant | A 24/7 assistant per location for questions and scheduling | None. Forms reply on brand within sixty seconds |
| Reporting | Roll-up reports, call tracking and attribution | Network health dashboard; Insights adds call tracking and attribution |
| Pricing | Not published; depends on your goals, per its FAQ | $99 or $199 per location per month, published |
| Contract | Typically 12 months for technology and SEO, per its FAQ | 12-month first term, then month to month |
| Leaving | Files, assets and content handed back; you rebuild elsewhere, per its FAQ | One-click export of content and images, any time |
Two different kinds of company
Scorpion calls itself a digital marketing and technology company for local businesses. It says it works with 100+ franchise brands and 10,000+ franchise locations, and sells franchises a bundle called RevenueMAX, delivered with a dedicated marketing team.
Brandyland is software. It gives every location a website in the brand's theme, plus a brand site with a find-a-location page and franchise inquiry form. It does not run ads or SEO, it is not an agency, and it has a smaller company and a shorter track record behind it.
What Scorpion does well
Its franchise pages describe a wide bundle, suited to a brand that would rather hand marketing to one partner:
It has franchise history too. Scorpion acquired the franchise marketing agency Wheat Creative in 2021, and says the International Franchise Association named it a preferred vendor in 2025. Brands named in Scorpion's own case studies include Gotcha Covered, PJ's Coffee and Go Mini's.
- Ads across Google, Meta and Bing, plus social and video
- SEO through Ranking AI, and review requests and replies through Reputation AI
- Scorpion Connect, an AI assistant at each location, and Convert, an after-hours intake and scheduling product launched in October 2025
- Roll-up reporting, call tracking and attribution
- Franchise development marketing to recruit new owners
Who changes the website
Scorpion builds franchise websites on its own CMS, with automated location landing pages, and its FAQ says a site typically launches in four to ten weeks. If franchisees will need to change hours or post a closure, ask how that works and how fast it goes live.
In Brandyland, the franchisee does it from a phone: today's hours, holidays after a nudge, the weekly schedule, events, photos, their own pages, and a notice bar that takes itself down after its end date. Every inquiry gets an on-brand reply within sixty seconds, and bookings stay on each location's existing system.
Price and contract
Scorpion does not publish prices; its FAQ says the investment depends on your goals. The same FAQ says it typically requires a 12-month contract for its marketing technology and some services such as SEO, while digital advertising is typically month to month. Full terms are in the services agreement each customer signs.
Brandyland is $99 per location per month for Local or $199 for Insights. Build and migration are free for franchise networks, the $299 launch fee per location is waived for pilots, and after a 12-month first term it is month to month.
Ownership, and leaving
Scorpion's FAQ states that "you own your website after the length of your contract with Scorpion is complete." Your domains, content and imagery are yours; the underlying system is not. After the contract, Scorpion hands back accounts such as GA4 and social media, with the site's static files, design assets and content, and you rebuild on the CMS you choose.
With Brandyland, every site's content and images export with one click, any time, with no exit fee. The engine's code stays with Brandyland, much as Scorpion keeps its system.
